Things to See

See Disneyland Resort in California

DISNEYLAND is a visual feast, and one of the primary reasons tourists come to California to see it. From the moment you pull your automobile into the parking lot and make your way to the entrance of the park, colorful signage is presented in a whimsically fun manner. And that's just the beginning of you Disney "eye candy" experience.

Seasons are lived to their fullest with very little left undone in terms of decorations. Each entry point is designed to be a see it to believe it "wow", and the experience creates a memory when tied to sound. Music pumped into the park, trotting horses pulling carts, the whistle of train at the station and beep of an old fashioned horn on an open car are splashes of sound accenting the happy music that plays on invisible speakers. Or maybe there's a band performing—and even they provide another visual feast.

Color: Disneyland doesn't hold back on color. Though buildings may be decorated in traditional to soothing shades, the trims, the balloons floating in the air, the banners, the rides and signs that may light up at night all create a "being there" moment guests savor.

Flower beds are outstanding at a theme park where millions come and could easily wear down the surface looks and nooks. Flowers of various types are planted to create murals such as a face of Mickey Mouse as you enter the park. The flowers & shrubs in It's a Small World  are topiary shaped like animals—delightfully enjoyable to see as you glide in your little tour boat and head into one of the most color-saturated shows ever presented.

Added to the amazing special effects within rides and attractions, including restaurants serving eye-popping culinary treats, is the night-time culmination of things to see at Disneyland—sometimes a parade and a fireworks show. There's also a water show with spectacular color-injected lighting and visuals.

It's really impossible to summarize the things to see at Disneyland in one paragraph, page or story. But you have to figure there's a reason for Disneyland's huge success and if you guessed that cool things to see is top on the list, few people are going to argue with you.
