Dinner with Albany (biennial event) is an incredible community event that features a sit-down dinner on Solano Avenue to celebrate the community sharing a meal with friends, family and neighbors. The event was originally created to celebrate the city's centennial in 2008. It was such a huge success it has become a biennial event. Over 600 dinner tables are placed in the middle of Solano Avenue (between San Pablo & Talbot Avenues) for dinner under a canopy of lights. At 6:45 pm, the dinner bell rings, and there's a toast! Attendees are encouraged to bring a pot luck from home, buy food from local participating restaurants at the event or pre-order food from your favorite local eatery and bring it with you. Music by Tainted Love, Kickin' the Mule  and dancing in the streets.
