California Museums of Invention

There are many museums paying homage to mankind's modern inventions that have changed our lives. Here are a few California museums dedicated to inventions and innovation:

FOLSOM: Powerhouse State Historic Park is one of the oldest hydroelectric facilities in the world and one of the first power systems to provide high-voltage alternating current over long-distance transmission lines for major municipal and industrial use.

LOS ANGELES: The Hollywood Museum contains a vast collection of cameras, movie memorabilia and artifacts from the genesis of Hollywood filming through the ages.

TORRANCE: Western Museum of Flight includes valuable contributions to aviation history, including engines, models, pictures and guest lecturers with knowledge and experience in aviaiton.

SACRAMENTO: California Automobile Museum
