AGOURA HILLS Hempstead Halloween. Over 2,000 people show up to see the creative neighborhood decorated annually for Halloween in amazing themes. It's that good! The Reyes Adobe also will have Ghosts of Rancho Past lectures and tours. Spooky!

ALBANY Halloween Events. Includes costume contest, trick or treating, and several entertaining acts for kids at YMCA and elsewhere.

ALHAMBRA Halloween events include movie nights and trick or treating at Heritage Square on October 31. ANAHEIM: Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland Park. A special ticket event you can only enjoy if you buy tickets for the part includes Trick-or-Treat for all ages in the park, special haunted shows, a Halloween-themed fireworks extravaganza and more. Ticket Price 9 pre, gate, includes parking. Time: 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Halloween dates include: Sept. 30, Oct. 3, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21,25, 28, 31.

AVALON Halloween Parade October 31, 2011, 4 p.m. on Crescent Avenue

BAKERSFIELD 2 Nights of Safe Trick or Treating October 30 - 31, 2011. Kern County Museum host 2 nights of fun --the event includes 30 trick or treat stations. This event charges a fee.

BUENA PARK: Knott's Berry Farm Scary Farm Haunt. Time: 7 p.m. - 1 a.m. 4-51 presale, walk up day of. Location: 8039 Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, CA. 220-5200.knotts . CERRITOS: Halloween Festival. Held at Regional Park, it includes a Haunted House and many activities for kids. It's great fun!

CYPRESS - Halloween Carnival, 6 - 9 p.m. at Cypress Community Center

DIAMOND BAR - Fall Fun Festival. Time: 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Heritage Park, is geared toward youngsters. It is one of the city's special Halloween events, in addition to the usual Trick or Treat adventures.

DUARTE: Halloween Howl. Time: 6 -9 p.m. Put on your best costume and meet up for Halloween fun for kids.

EL SEGUNDO Trick or Treat on Main Street. Celebrate Halloween with Downtown merchants. Several fun contests will be held.

GLENDALE Trick or Treat. Montrose includes around 100 merchants handing out candy in a safe, fun family environment.

HAWAIIAN GARDENS Haunted House Oct. 28 - 31, 2011. Never a dull moment for children at this special haunted house that creates a safe, fun haven for kids during Halloween.

HUNTINGTON BEACH: Halloween on Main Street. Annual event in downtown Huntington Beach includes petting zoo, bounce houses, costume contest, dog parade and trick or treat with local merchants, 4 - 8:30 p.m. There are also Trick or Treat events at Bella Terra Mall and Seacfliff Shopping Center.

LA HABRA HEIGHTS: Haunted House. A 30 year tradition sponsored by the Improvement Association is an exciting event.

LA MIRADA: Halloweenfest. Time: 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. to confirm: 943-7277. cityoflamirada

LA PALMA: Halloween Carnival. 6 - 8:30 p.m., Central Park, Free admission. This is a family-oriented alternative to the traditional trick-or-treat.

LA QUINTA Halloween Carnival. Event provides a family fun atmosphere in the desert community with temperatures around 80 to 85 degrees during the day around Halloween.

NORWALK Halloween Festival2011 October 31, 2011, 6 - 9 p.m. Ghosts and goblins of all ages are invited to meet up with the ghosts and goblins of Halloween to enjoy the fun festival filled with food, games, costume contest, and old fashioned trick or treat.

PETALUMA Petaluma Trick or Treat Trail. Petaluma Downtown Association's Halloween Trick or Treat Trail is a fun and safe community event for the whole family. Kids are able to find the Halloween merchant participants by looking for the orange and black balloons.

PLEASANTON: Pirates of Emerson. 6 Haunted House attractions include the original, infamous Pirates of Emerson, plus a and Corn Maze. The Haunting Fields is where your worst nightmares become real. The City of Sierra Madre invites children to come downtown on Halloween for several hours of trick or treat, then a parade to Memorial Park where a costume contest takes place. It's great fun and awesome community spirit that makes this event happen in Sierra Madre.

SOLVANG: Haunted House October 29 & 31, 2011. The Solvang Theater transforms into a Haunted House for Halloween. There are two nights of entertaining thrills, plus an early youngsters version of the haunted house that isn't scary.

TORRANCE: Annual Halloween Carnival. This family friendly carnival for all ages invites the public to come out and enjoy the fun in a safe environment and wholesome atmosphere.

UPLAND: Scary-A-Faire Celebration. Scary-A-Faire is the Upland safe alternative to trick-or-treating! Witches fly on broomsticks, black cats leap, and kids have fun. What more can you want?

VENTURA - Ghost Tales at the Olivas Adobe October 23 - 31, 2011. Join ghost researcher and author Richard Senate for stories and tales about reported ghost hauntings at the Olivos Adobe in Ventura, one of Ventura's many haunted places. There's also a traditional trick or treat downtown for kids.

VICTORVILLE: High Desert Fear Festival October 28 -31, 2011, 5 - 10 p.m. 28 haunted rooms to roam, daily contests, games, costume contest, special magical acts and more.

WALNUT CREEK: Trick or Treat Walnut Creek. October 28, 29 &31, 2011. There are several Halloween events in Walnut Creek ranging from Downtown Trick-or-Treat to ARF to Broadway Plaza. So much fun in one city!
